Name: David C.
Hometown: Beaverton, Oregon
David’s navy cardigan and military green joggers create a casual, classic look.
What does fashion mean to you? Fashion is a way for me to wake up in the morning and think, “Hey, I’m going to be this person today.” Like I can be a cool Portland dude today, you know? It’s a way to express yourself, of course.
Neutral accessories including rings and a leather watch complement his look.
How would you describe your style? My style is very hobo chic. Haha no I’m kidding! I say that because I have a lot of different looks, and it’s not that I only shop at ZARA. I guess it’s very versatile. That’s how I see it.
Where do you usually shop? I usually shop at H&M or ZARA. I also like to thrift shop. That’s a biggie. Tyra Banks said – actually I’m not sure it was her – but on “America’s Next Top Model,” they said, “Old Navy has some fashion basics. So you have to go to Old Navy and get some of that.”
David adds his humorous personality to leather kicks with PDX carpet socks.
If you could change one thing about the fashion industry, what would it be? I think in the fashion industry, there are times when a lot of clothes are made, but not sold and kind of trashed. There aren’t many sustainable practices for recycling clothing. There are those horror stories in which people won’t give their clothes to the homeless or pollute the ocean with their goods. So that’s what I would want to change. Let’s try to change the world by still being fashionable. I really like the idea of being minimalistic.
David loves to stand out with a combo of subtle patterns and vintage collars.
What song describes your style? “Work” by Rihanna.
David’s fresh haircut adds depth to his chic ensemble.
